Have you seen this???

I’m reviewing a book on Dreamweaver MX… Of course it comes with a 30 day demo of the program. I wasn’t sure that I was going to upgrade to MX (I’m using 4) because, well… I’m just damn sick of upgrading. But….

I installed the demo last night and I have to tell you, this is insane! Of course it does all the wonderful things that previous versions did, but you can’t believe all the new stuff! Terrific support for database driven sites (PHP, JSP, ASP, ASP.net, Cold Fusion), much improved support for CSS, a terrific little thing for saving snippets of code that you use often, the interface is great… I could go on and on and I’ve only had it installed since last night. I am definitely upgrading now. I know I’m supposed to be reviewing the book, not the program, but it’s hard to find anything wrong with the book when I’m so excited about the damn program!

At least I got the book for free…

I don’t have to get up early tomorrow, so I’m pretty sure I’ll be up very, very late tonight!

Long Boring Babble.

So True

Little things

Living in the southern United States, specifically Florida, for the last four years has started to pose a problem that I never expected.

I can’t remember what time of the year events took place.

When I remember things from before our move South, I can remember what I was wearing and judge from that what time of year it was. I can usually get a pretty accurate “reading” too. Since the move our wardrobes don’t really change from season to season. Now when I remember what I was wearing, it’s usually shorts and sandals. Oh sure we have a few weeks of cold weather in the winter and I can certainly place things that happened near a holiday. But those little memories, like when Jim started a certain project or when I sold the old car… I’m clueless.

Not that this is a tragedy by any means, but it’s the little things that trip you up, you know?

Go! Be Free!

I “released” my first book for BookCrossing.com today. This is such a great idea I can’t believe nobody thought of it sooner. It’s sort of disappointing to see that there aren’t many “captures” in my area though. It’s still fun though.
