I thought I was the only one who noticed, but apparently Christine has the same thing going on all the way up there! (I’m pointing North now)
The ad campaigns this year seem worse then ever. One politician attacking another. It’s to the point where I actually think they must have people working around the clock, watching all the ads and immediately producing new ads to counter-attack the previous ads, as it seems there are new ones every day!
Here in Florida it’s all about taxes and ballot casting. Apparently we’re just too stupid to vote. I won’t get into that here… go see Dave, he explains it better than I ever could. But I’m sure you all remember, don’t you? We’re still sporting bumper stickers that state our case either for or against the Bush administration. We just can’t seem to let it go. As a matter of fact, one politician seems to be basing his whole campaign on how his opponent tried to have votes cast by the elderly, the military and some other group, I can’t remember who right now, thrown out.
An especially dirty campaign is for the office of agriculture something or other. Seems the incumbent is especially displeased that his opponent is a librarian… what with all the bio-terrorist threats to our agriculture here in Florida, he feels that he’s the only man alive with the experience and knowledge to protect America’s citrus. His campaign ads include footage of him walking citrus groves, fondling fruit. I know I feel better.
I don’t pretend to know much about politics, I know what I believe in. And I’m sorry but none of these ads are swaying me in any direction other than staying home on election night.

Of course I’m going to vote! =)
I complain too often and too loudly to ever have to answer that I didn’t even vote!
Come on, fellow Floridian, ya gotta vote. Ya can’t bitch, if ya don’t vote. Well, actually, you can, but it doesn’t carry as much weight…
Don’t let the fruit fondlers win!
…I hear ya…it’s not any better here in Wisconsin…
a bunch of vultures…..our Beautiful state of Wisconsin needs Gov. Tommy Thompson back, but the Bush administation nabbed him from us…that’s another story…won’t go there…..
Happy November 1st, All Souls Day…..

politics is war by other means
Oh I will vote, I just wanted to say that these campaigns are not doing anything to help me make a decision, other than making me pretty nauseous at my choices.
And mmm, I love the smell of Douglas Adams in the morning. =)
but … but … if you don’t vote for a lizard, the wrong lizard might get in!
