Yeah right…
H started dance class today and while she definitely enjoys ballet, that child wants to TAP!
We started the day out at the dance store, buying ballet slippers and tap shoes… we got her the little elastic ties for the tap shoes so that she doesn’t have to worry about tying the ribbon. I let her pick out the ones she wanted and she picked the big, shiny, gold stars.. Surprise, surprise… I wonder where she gets that from?!
I bought her a ballet bag to keep her shoes and street clothes in and we left the store only $50 lighter… not bad…
When we got to class, she was a little shy at first, but Miss Sheila enlisted her help in putting on her own tap shoes and pushed me out the door. There isn’t even a window that I can peek through. I sat in the waiting room and while the other mothers made small talk, I did nothing but yearn for a peek at my little girl.
After the hour was up, H came flying out, all red in the face and hair disheveled.
“Did you have fun, baby?”, I asked.
She gave me the thumbs up sign and asked if we could do it again tomorrow.
Well, maybe not tomorrow, but definitely next Tuesday.

Christine, Let me know what size shoe she wears and I will start saving Kenzie’s tap shoes for her. They are never even close to being worn out when she grows out of them!
…lmao…reminds me of my tap, ballet, and modern jazz classes…wish there were golden stars for my shoes in those days…
Hugs to Haley, and of course, I’m waiting for pictures *8)
