Brava! Bravo!
Do you love the Bravo Channel? I know I do. Between Project Runway and Top Chef, my two all time favorite reality shows, I think some of the best tv is to be had there. What I didn’t realize is how great the website is. There are blogs from past season’s contestants, (winners and non-winners alike), judges and my fabulous crush Tim Gunn. Don’t you just love him? My favorite part is that he tells the truth about the creations, not always agreeing with the judges. I’m so glad I found this, because sometimes I’m bewildered by the judges choices.
Getting Over It

So, the lack of interest for things Apple culminated in the purchase of a new sofa. A new, red sofa. It’s being delivered on Tuesday and I’ll post pics when I have them.
I’m a Little Disappointed

Steve Jobs didn’t say anything today that blew my skirt up. The thin notebook costs way too much money for me to be interested, I’m still undecided about iphone, and appleTV isn’t doing anything to make me throw away the DVR. If it recorded shows from your television as well, I’d run right out and buy one, but it doesn’t. I can’t see paying 1.99 for an episode of a show that I can record on the DVR for free. My son was very upset as well; G4 had made some comments yesterday about You Tube and he assumed that meant with Itunes and your Ipod. Not so. Again with the AppleTV. Oh well. That’s ok, I didn’t need to spend anymore money anyway.
Because I Said So
Last night Jim and I watched a movie that I’d been looking forward to seeing for a long time. I don’t get to the movies much anymore, unless we’re seeing a Disney or Harry Potter film. And I don’t watch very many movies at home because I just can’t commit to two hours in front of the television with so many other things to do. The movie, “Because I Said So”, I was sure would be worth my time. It looked sweet and funny and clever. Well, looks can be deceiving. I sat through it, giving it the entire length to get moving or say something or entertain me in the least, but it never did. It was an absolute waste of time, with not a redeeming quality in it. It almost seemed as though chunks of it had been cut. There were jokes that might have been funny had we been given the whole set up. Really, if I didn’t know any better, I would have thought that it had been made during this writer’s strike. Don’t waste your time.
Could it be ADD?

Or am I just getting old? It seems to be happening more and more frequently. I’ll step into a room only to wonder why the hell I’m there. I’ll come over to the computer to check my bank balances only to get sidetracked by Britney’s latest bout with insanity, or who’s baby bump looks best. Before you know it, I’ve wasted an hour and I still have no idea whether or not that check cleared. And let’s talk for a minute about cooking… I never used to need recipes. Dishes that I’ve been making for years, even things I came up with myself, seem to need cliff notes these days.
I have a Paper Daily Planner, a calendar on the laptop and even one on my phone that are all synced and I still keep forgetting things. Until, of course I get into bed and try to get some sleep, then they all come flooding back at once keeping me from sleeping once again. I just don’t know how to combat this. As my mother once said to me, in all seriousness, “I’d take my Ginko Biloba, but I can’t remember where I put it.” I made fun of her then, but I’m not making fun of her now. Well, I am, but not about that. Now it’s more of a… wait, what was I saying?
