I just got the most incredible camera. It’s been time to update my camera for some time now. Not that it was a bad camera, it’s an Olympus D-580 4MP. While my shots are acceptable, they just weren’t great. Also, I use my camera to shoot product for the jewelry website and it’s really a trial to get a shot that does the pieces justice. So, were out playing on my husband’s day off and we wound up at Bestbuy, which happens a lot. This beautiful camera was on sale for $409.00 down from 479, and it’s 429.00 direct from Sony, so I think I did ok. I brought the camera home and as soon as I opened the box, and started shooting, I realized what had been wrong with my photography all these years. The cameras that I have owned didn’t take pictures that were inspiring. They were ok, but the pictures I’ve been taking this week are stunning. In anything you do, the right tools make all the difference in the world, don’t they?

Congrats on your new camera! I had a DSC-F707 for many years and was happy with it. My brother bought it over Christmas and I bought a Nikon D40x. I miss the built-in 10x zoom I had with my Sony much more than I thought I would.
