I Don’t Want an Iphone….

I don’t. Really. No, the fact is; I need an Iphone. It goes much further than just plain desire. I obsess over it. Today I went into the AT&T store to caress one see just what this whole thing is going to cost me and to prepare myself for that. Jim is switching from his provider and needs a new phone, it’s time to get the kids phones if they’re going to be out and about doing their own thing this summer, and I need an Iphone. Have I mentioned that already? Anyway. So, I call the evil phone company (Spr*nt) to find out when, exactly my contract is up – I’m thinking mid-May and I find out it’s not up until August. I went to NY for two days a year and a half ago and changed my plan to accommodate the trip. So, now it’s not up until August and they want $200(!) to buy my way out. I’m not paying $200 evil phone company (Spr*nt), I’m just not. But this is not over, not by a long shot. I’ll figure out a way to get my pretty little Iphone. Oh yes, I will.

Save the Date

I just love the whole “Save the Date” ad campaign for Sex and the City. I can not wait for this movie. I am unreasonable in my anticipation and I swear I cry whenever I see the trailer. I’m not proud of that, but I thought that you should know.

Apparently there are all kinds of rumors about what’s going to happen in the film, but surprisingly, I don’t think I want to know.

Look, there’s a million couple of blogs.
Oh and sadly, I might have to go see it by myself. I don’t think I know anyone who lives close enough that wants to see it. It comes out two days before my birthday too.

Three Day Weekend

Today was our evaluation and all went well. Tonight, I will be celebrating with a bottle of the good stuff and taking tomorrow off. That’s right, it’s Teacher-in-service day at the ColorMePink house!

Whew!

Even though I know the body of work that my children have produced this year, and even though I know how far they’ve come since last year and the year before that and the year before that, and even though I know, in my heart of hearts, that we’re doing a good job instilling in our children a love of learning and the ability to find the information that they need…. Still… I have some reservations on the morning of our Yearly Evaluation.  When Miss Coni shows up, I panic.  Sure we see her every year and every year we get a good evaluation, but still. I am prone to negativity now and again.
This afternoon we had our evaluation and it went beautifully.  It does every year.  We love our evaluator; we’ve used her since our very first evaluation five years ago.  She knows our strengths and our weaknesses.  She gives us wonderful feedback and great ideas and most importantly, that little slip of paper that says that I’m doing what’s right for my children and that I’m doing it well.
We’re taking tomorrow off.

The Beaducation of Christine

I  beaducation. About a year and a half, maybe even two years ago, I started looking at stamping tools for cold stamping on sterling (and other metals, maybe). I requested information from her and she sent me a really thorough email, answering all my questions and then some. She even included pointers about how to get the best results and the tools that she used. Well, stuff happened, and life exploded and I got slightly sidetracked in the stamping arena.

Fast forward to last week: I finally got around to ordering the stamping set with the “Say it on your wrist” kit as well as some other design stamps and some tags. In placing the order, I mistyped my email address (raise your hand if you’re not surprised!) and I actually got a phone call from Lisa herself to help me correct my gaffe; how’s that for customer service?
Anyway, she was so nice and I got my order lightning fast. It was packed beautifully, included instructions and I’m having a ball stamping. As soon as I get the hang of it, you’ll see some stamped jewelry over in the jewelry store.
