It’s Friday!

And you know what that means? Ok, maybe you don’t – because I just decided last week that I was going to make this a regular thing, but you may consider this the official announcement. Fridays at Colormepink! are going to be “All Around the Internet” day. Aren’t you excited?
I spent an exorbitant amount of time on the internet and as such, find things to do and see and learn that someone with some sort of life outside their house may never come across. And because I love you so much, I’m going to share my finds with you every Friday.*
So, here we go y’all: “All Around the Internet”
Gmail gets emoticons – I use gmail for some of my email needs – (remember when we were all scrounging for invitations to gmail? Yikes!), but I might use it more with these. They’re cute. Just log in, click “compose mail” and you’ll see options above the text area, click on the emoticon there and revel in the cuteness. I like the animated lobster best, although I can’t think of many instances where I’d use it.
PicApp – Images for your blog – Free! Register for a free account and then simply enter your search terms. Tons of images came up – this one came from a search, “internet user”. Clever, no? Free, useful, you don’t even have to download the image and upload it to your server, the code is written for you, you pick the size and any alignment choices and just copy and paste the code into your blog. Yay!
Typeracer – You may not know this, but I’m a trifle bit competitive. I. like. to. win. Oh, yes I do. So, I tend to play things where I have a very good chance of kicking some ass. Ahem. Typeracer is a timed typing game. You can play solo for practice and/or bragging rights, you can play against other, anonymous players, or you can play against a friend though invitations. I’m “colormepink” if you’re feeling a little froggy.
And we have to have some YouTube yo.
Epic Pepper Fail
Finally:
You Should Be Allowed to Vote |
![]() You got 13/15 questions correct. Generally speaking, you’re very well informed. If you vote this election, you’ll know exactly who (and what) you’ll be voting for. You’re likely to have strong opinions, and you have the facts to back them up. |
There you go! Happy Friday, oh and you’re welcome.
*until I get bored, or you get bored or something sparkly catches my atten… what? Where were we?

I cannot believe I didn’t notice that Gmail has emoticons now. I think I must have been drawn to your site in order to discover this most important information.
Thank you so much for pointing it out. I probably would have NEVER noticed.
p.s. The lobster is my favorite too! I plan to use it all the time ;)

Christy M.s last blog post..Liar, liar. Pants on fire.
