I have had a terrible time editing images that I take in the kitchen for the website. When I’m done editing, and choose “Save for Web and Devices”, all of my beautiful color drains right out of the picture. This morning I was editing some gorgeous, red, tomato photos and had finally had enough. (Yes, I know about lossy and lossless, this was unacceptable color loss) I googled “Save for web loses color” and there were 32,800 results! After I got over my relief that it wasn’t something that I was doing, I started poking through and there were an awful lot of interesting articles. This one in particular caught my eye (because it was first and I’m lazy) and I followed the easy instructions he puts forth. It worked beautifully and I have some gorgeous tomatoes now. I will be posting later about how to slow roast them, but I thought this find was important enough to post about. So, if you’re having trouble – take a look at Doug’s idea.
