PDF Yesterday I had to take my beloved Macbook Pro to the Apple store because it seems that I have a problem with my video card. Since this is a known issue, Apple covers the cost, which is good because apparently the video card is soldered to the motherboard and the part is $900.00(!), so yeah I’m happy I don’t have to pay for that.
Since we don’t have an Apple store in Ocala, nor one in Gainesville, which really surprises me - we had to drive to Altamonte Springs. We made a day of it, seeing that it was Jim’s day off and we planned lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, my all time favorite… no let me rephrase that – the only buffet that I will even consider.
We had a very nice day even though they took my laptop in for repair and I miss it very much.
My new friend Dave told me that I’ll have it back in 6 days or less and I guess that I can use that time to pack because really, I’m quite behind in the packing department.

Is usual that video cards often overheat on apple laptops! I had the same issue some months ago, but now i have another one!
