I’m Calling Myself Out

Ok, this is hard. I’ve been languishing in sorrow for over a week and it’s time to snap out of it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that grief is a bad thing and should be avoided, I’m saying that I still have a family to care for and a life to lead and languishing in “shadow comfort” isn’t doing any of us any good.
So, I’m going to start a new trend for us… well, for me – but the whole family can only benefit from it. I’m committing, here and now and in front of all eight of my readers. I’m committing to a half hour of aerobic activity, five times a week. (Yes I know I’ll need to add strength training in there too, but let’s take it one step at a time, shall we?)
I bought myself a copy of EAS Active for the Wii and I actually opened it today. Then I decided to get in the pool instead. I did a half hour of my version of water aerobics and quite honestly I think I deserve more than a half hour’s credit because the water was freeeezing. But I’m glad I did it and I’ll do more tomorrow.
So, you want to join me? Commit to 30 minutes of aerobic activity 5 times a week? Whatcha think?

okay I might be in. How long is this daily (5 days) aerobic thing suppose to last, 15 minutes, or 1 hour. If you say fifteen in addition to the stuff I already do, I’m so in :0
If it’s an hour:{

Ooops, I just re-read the 30 minutes. Can I fake it and add 15 minutes and call it a day :}

30 minutes. But if you want to commit to 15, that’d be ok too.

Yes. Soon. I’m trying to start small. I’ve been…struggling. With many things. So, baby steps. Eventually, yes. I will be working out an HOUR a day eventually.

I want to. Theoretically. Is it ridiculous (yes) that 30 minutes a day sounds overwhelming to me right now. Walking maybe. Maybe I could do walking. Or looking. I definitely could do the looking.
I’ve actually been wanting to do the 30-day shred thing, but I don’t know if I could handle it. And if I couldn’t, that might make me feel even worse. Argh.

*Sigh*…I wish (somewhat…lol)…Sounds good, but I’m already pooped from chasing after my precious Granddaughter crawler all day, amongst other things….I need that 30 min. to rest my sore body…lol…

Ohhhh… but I want to do.. I really do, I just don’t actually know where I’ll be living next week! If I’m still here, and we don’t move, SO IN. If we move.. KIND OF IN. I am appalled at myself lately… getting to a breaking point.
You definitely get extra points for the cold water!

If you jump on the exercise bandwagon for no other reason, do it to decrease your chance of getting breast cancer. Carrying around extra weight ups your risk, but exercising regularly decreases it. And because I know you don’t want surgery, chemo, radiation and more, just do it. Think of it like preventative medication, and take it every day. I promise you won’t be sorry. OK, that’s my tip for the day!
