If every day home schooling, goes as well as today did, I would do this forever. I’m sure it won’t, but our first day was truly remarkable. I was able to see right away, certain things that T needs, strengths that were not recognized and some ways through the things that we know need work.

I’m getting terrific support from everyone (thank you to all who wrote!), including T’s counselor. There are a couple of used book sales in May and June that I think will be very educational (for me!). Unfortunately the “big” convention is happening the week that we’re going to be at Disney, but I’m sure there are other things.

I had contact with one of the support groups that meets here every week and I’ll be checking that out as well.

The most important thing, I think, was T’s reaction. He was relaxed and focused and really got through the work that I had planned in way less time than I planned for. I’m going to be putting together curriculum for the next couple of weeks with stuff that I bought on Monday, combined with things I already had and things I’ve found on the web. I think that’s the best way to go before I invest a bunch of money. I tend to jump the gun (have you noticed?) and I think that I’d like to do a bit more information gathering before investing too much.
