I hate dreary weather. I really need sunshine on a daily basis in order to function properly.
On a lighter note, I love this journal, there’s always a worthy read there and some great links. I found this there, see if you can tear yourself away from it once you start.

Jim got a promotion at work and it’s really going to make a difference around here. It will be so nice to not have to pinch pennies so damn much. The best part though is that someone finally appreciates his abilities and talents. He’s very good at what he does and it’s nice for a company to recognize that. Please drop him a line and congratulate him.

I’ve decided to make colormepink.com my blog site. Probably use Movable Type for the software and import this whole blog into it. So the age old question rears it’s ugly head once again. What do I do for a layout???? I’ve got a lot of work to keep me busy and I’m certainly grateful for that, but I need some time to design my own stuff. Dancing Star Creations is in dire need of a redesign as well… It just looks so dated to me. But I never seem to be able to find the time to update my own. I was looking at it the other day and I haven’t added any linkware designs in a year, which I guess is no big deal but it has brought me paying clients so I guess it would be a good idea to add one every once in a while, no?

Friday night… I love Fridays! I would think that it wouldn’t matter to me what day of the week it was. I have my own business, so whenever there’s work to do, I do it. period. My husband sells cars, so he never gets the weekend off. But still I love Fridays. There’s just something about them.

I’ve got very simple plans for tonight– a bottle of Merlot and reruns of Sex and the City on HBO Signature. I just love that show, never seem to get sick of it. Tonight the girls travel to California.

Jim should get home around 10 or so, and we’ll have dinner. It’s only the second Friday during Lent and I’m already running out of fish dinner ideas. I’m not really sure why I still observe – I certainly don’t feel that God will smite us should we consume flesh on Friday, so what is it? Probably the ritual thing. I just love rituals of any kind, from turkey at Thanksgiving, to lemon wedges and salt with shots of Tequila. They’re certainly not necessary, but I love the feeling of ceremony. That being said, I bought a really nice tuna steak and I’m going to broil it and serve it over broccoli rab sauteed in garlic and oil… maybe I’ll throw in some sundried tomatoes.

It’s still freezing here. Last night it went down to 37 degrees! That is not what I had in mind when I moved to Florida. March is a funny month here though. It really starts to warm up, yet there’s always the chance we’ll get a hard freeze.

I thought I’d be able to sit down and really write, but apparently the children have other ideas.

Sunday morning. It’s a bright, sunny day although pretty cold for Florida. Last night Jim broke down on the way home from work. Since we only have the one car now, that’s a big deal (we had two but sold one when he got a demo, then when he left the job a month ago we were down to one.) He had it towed to the local “Pep Boys” and I really hope they’re able to fix it by tonight. I’m not a big fan of Pep Boys, but they’re open on Sundays and that happens to be a necessity at this point. So Jim took a cab to work this morning, no mean feat in Ocala- we have three cab companies, each has one, that’s right, one car! Coming from NY, that was a bit of a shock. In order to get a cab you have to call at least an hour before you need it. Bizarre…

Photoshop 7 is coming, Photoshop 7 is coming! The best news is it’s got a file browser… bye-bye Paint Shop Pro… That was the only reason I kept it on my hardrive. I’m hoping the upgrade price is reasonable. So armed with that and my new laptop, (which I haven’t ordered yet), I shall be unstoppable! Ok, maybe not, but it sure will be fun!
